Does Etsy report your sales to the CRA?

Not tax advice. This page summarizes public CRA and Etsy information as read on October 29, 2026. Rules, rates and fees change, and your situation may differ. Confirm with the CRA or a qualified tax professional before filing. Not affiliated with Etsy, Inc. or the Canada Revenue Agency. "CraftLedger default line" means how the CraftLedger app groups a fee; it is not CRA guidance.

Canada's Part XX rules require certain platforms to report seller information to the CRA each year. Here is what CRA says it means for sellers.

Frequently asked questions

When do platforms have to send me my reported information?

CRA guidance says reporting platform operators must provide each reportable seller with the information reported about them by January 31 of the year following the calendar year in which the seller is reportable.

Do I have to file anything under these rules?

CRA says a seller's role under the rules is complete once they have shared the requested information with their platform operator(s), but they may still have other tax obligations.
